Market-Leading Wood Finishing Company Keeps Jobs in a Small NY Town
ReCharge NY Success StoryFrom the town of Cobleskill, wood finishing manufacturer Mill Services is the largest producer of Eastern White Pine finger joint boards in the northeastern United States. They cut locally grown and harvested lumber into finger joint trim boards for Eastern brand and custom clients. The company was one of the early participants in ReCharge NY, and, when it was looking to double capacity, Mill Services was able to secure 176 kilowatts of low-cost electricity from the New York Power Authority through former Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s ReCharge NY program.
