Boat Launches at Wittaker Park and Brandy Brook Temporarily Closed

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MASSENA –The New York Power Authority (NYPA) announced today the temporary closure of the Whittaker Park and Brandy Brook boat launches, effective Thursday, August 8, through Monday, August 12.  Both boat launches will reopen on Tuesday, August 13.

The boat launches, located along the St. Lawrence River in the vicinity of NYPA’s St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Hydroelectric Power Plant, will be closed for five days to accommodate the B.A.S.S. Masters Elite Tournament, which will be taking place in the Village of Waddington.
Recreational boaters are encouraged to use other launches in the immediate area, located at Lisbon Beach, Coles Creek Marina and Robert Moses State Park.
