Hop on a bicycle generator and turn pedal power into electricity, have a hair-raising experience with static electricity using the Van de Graaff generator, and trace the path of the mighty St. Lawrence River from Ogdensburg to Massena with our audiovisual terrain map.

Visit Nicandri Nature Center

Nearby Hawkins Point is the Nicandri Nature Center, built and funded by the NY Power Authority, managed by The Friends of the Robert Moses State Park Nature Center. Hawkins Point hosts indoor exhibits exploring the world of hydropower and electricity, while the Nicandri Nature Center in Robert Moses State Park provides a natural setting for environmental education. Experience both as to uncover the wonders of science and nature with interactive displays at Hawkins Point and get immersed in the beauty of the outdoors with the trail system at the Nicandri Center.

For the first time in 20 years the magnificent walnut wood carving map portraying the passage through the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the St. Lawrence River in the 16th century by the French Explorer Jacques Cartier is on display.
