PowerUp2030: Your Gateway to Clean Energy Success!

PowerUp2030 is an exciting, free and specialized educational program for New York State small businesses interested in expanding into the clean energy renewables sector. Hosted by the New York Power Authority (NYPA) and LaGuardia Community College (LAGCC), this 10-week program features 9 comprehensive modules. 

Participants will grow their knowledge and expertise needed to work on upcoming clean energy renewable projects with the New York Power Authority and within the utility industry.

Who should apply? Small businesses, particularly in construction, electrical, engineering, HVAC and related industries. Businesses owned by minorities, women and service-disabled veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Dates: 10 in-person learning sessions will be held Tuesdays June 17 - August 19 from 10am to 12pm (Lunch will be provided.)

Location: LaGuardia Community College, Long Island City, NY. Accessible by public transportation or car. Parking available.

Application Criteria:

  • New York State-based small business

  • With at least five (5) years of experience

  • In construction, electrical, engineering, HVAC or related field

  • Interest in expanding into the renewable clean energy sector

Program Benefits:

  • Module 6: Construction Safety Essentials for Renewable Energy

  • Module 7: Automation – AI: Today’s Technology

  • Module 8: Operations & Maintenance and Installation Processes

  • Module 9: Graduation & Network
