MASSENA– The New York Power Authority (NYPA) today announced that it has completed rehabilitation work on the Massena Intake Roadway and the newly restored roadway is now open for traffic on State Route 131.  The road was closed last year to accommodate the work and traffic was rerouted.

The $5.6 million project consisted of replacing the concrete roadway deck and sidewalks and the installation of new drainage and railing systems.

Work is continuing on NYPA’s $3 million project to improve amenities at the Massena Intake Park. Construction activities are scheduled to take place through the end of the year.
