Buffalo and Erie County Greenway Standing Committee to Meet October 22 for Announcement of 2021 Greenway Grant Schedule

BUFFALO—The next meeting of the Buffalo and Erie County Greenway Fund Standing Committee will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, via videoconference. The meeting is open to the public and contact Carol Sampson if you are interested in viewing.

The meeting agenda includes announcement of the 2021 Buffalo and Erie County Greenway Grant Schedule.

The committee receives funds from New York Power Authority (NYPA) as part of the settlement agreement related to the 50-year federal license received by NYPA for the Niagara Power Project in 2007. During the term of the license, the Buffalo and Erie County Standing Committee will receive $2 million a year. It is composed of one representative from Erie County, the City of Buffalo, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy and NYPA.
