Opportunity: NYPA President Kelley to Present $2 Million for Buffalo
Waterfront Development during Press Event Wednesday Morning

A $2 million payment by the New York Power
Authority (NYPA) for Buffalo waterfront development will bring
together top Western New York officials Wednesday morning, Aug. 15,
at the Erie Canal Redevelopment site, at the corner of Marine Drive
and Pearl Street.
Erie County Executive Joel Giambra, Buffalo Mayor
Byron Brown and members of the Western New York legislative
delegation are expected to be among those on hand as NYPA President
Roger B. Kelley presents a ceremonial check to Charles Rosenow,
president, Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp.
The check will symbolize the major funding the
Power Authority pledged under an agreement last year for waterfront
development, the Niagara River Greenway and economic development and
revitalization initiatives in Western New York over the 50-year term
of the Niagara Power Project’s new license.
