BRONX—“The New York Power Authority has a long record of green initiatives to help improve air-quality in the New York City area. The Clean School Bus Program mentioned here today, helped the Department of Education jump-start efforts to address school bus emissions.  We are especially pleased that 491 school buses operating in the Bronx now have diesel oxidation catalyst,” said Timothy S. Carey, president and chief executive officer, NYPA.  “In the Hunts Point area, we’ve supported efforts to electrify the utility vehicles at the new markets while also providing electric delivery trucks for the U.S. Postal Service.”
