LEWISTON—The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will celebrate Mother’s Day a day early on Saturday (May 12) by presenting free plants to the first 200 moms to arrive at the Power Vista, the admission-free visitors center at NYPA’s Niagara Power Project.

The Power Vista, located at 5777 Lewiston Road, will be open as usual from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  It features a wide range of interactive displays and exhibits on such subjects as electricity production, energy efficiency and the history of power development on the Niagara Frontier.

The Mother’s Day program is part of the family-oriented “Sensational Saturdays” series scheduled at the Power Vista throughout the year.  Information on the Mother’s Day celebration and other Sensational Saturdays events is available on or by calling 716-286-6661 or 1-866-NYPA-FUN.
