The Capital Region Envirothon will be held on Thursday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the grounds of the New York Power Authorityís Blenheim-Gilboa Pumped Storage Power Project Visitors Center.

The Envirothon is a competition that tests high school studentsí knowledge of aquatics, soil, forestry, wildlife, sustainability and alternative energy. Teams representing schools from Schoharie, Schenectady and Albany counties will compete in this yearís event, at which there will be ample opportunities for photos. The winning team will advance to the New York State competition on May 23 and 24 at the State University of New York College at Cobleskill.
