Opportunity: First Project Under NYPA’s Power to Schools Energy
Program Completed in Albany with State Roll-Out of Program Announced

New York Power Authority (NYPA) President and Chief
Executive Officer Timothy S. Carey, City of Albany Schools Assistant
Superintendent for Business Affairs Kathleen Wetmore and Carl T.
Thurnau, P.E., Coordinator, Facilities Planning, New York State
Department of Education, will announce completion of the first
energy efficiency project under NYPA’s Power to Schools Energy
Program at 11 am at City of Albany’s district school office in
Academy Park.
The City of Albany School District is the first in
New York State to complete a project under NYPA’s Power to Schools
program. A tour of the completed work will be given.
