LEWISTON—The Power Vista, the admission-free visitors center at the New York Power Authority’s Niagara Power Project, will get a head start on holiday fun with the arrival of Santa Claus on Saturday (Dec. 2).

Children will have the opportunity to share their wish lists with Santa and to have photos taken with him from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Other special activities, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will include face painting and festive crafts.  Donations of non-perishable food items for area food banks will be appreciated.

The Power Vista, offering an enjoyable and educational experience for the entire family, is normally open daily from 9 a .m. to 5 p.m., but will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25 and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.  The center features more than 50 interactive exhibits and displays on such subjects as electricity, energy efficiency and the area’s history.  It is handicapped-accessible and parking is free.
