MASSENA—Special showings of a video depicting the
history of the New York Power Authority (NYPA) will be available on
Time Warner Cable’s cable access channel 30 in the Massena area at
various times beginning Friday September 22.
The video, produced to mark the Power Authority’s
75th anniversary this year and titled “Bold Dream…Shining Legacy,”
includes extensive coverage of events leading to the Power
Authority’s founding in 1931 and to construction of its first
electric generating facility, on the St. Lawrence River. It then
traces NYPA’s growth into the nation’s largest state-owned electric
utility.
