Display the Plug-in Hybrid-Electric Sprinter Van Concept Vehicle at
Niagara Falls State Park

NYPA and New York State Parks have teamed up to
display the Plug-in Hybrid Electric (PHEV) DaimlerChrysler Sprinter
Van concept vehicle on Tuesday, September 19 at America’s oldest
state park, Niagara Falls State Park.
Five pre-production vehicles will be used in
different applications around New York State in 2008.
The PHEV Sprinter Van concept vehicle has a zero
emission, all-electric range of 20 miles making it ideal for use in
urban areas and or parks. Plug-n hybrids can operate in all-electric
mode or hybrid mode.
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently
selected Niagara Falls State Park’s Green Park initiative for its
Clean Air Excellence Award in the Transportation Efficiency
Innovations category.
