Antique Truck Show Set

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MASSENA―The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will
help to put a cap on summer fun when it plays host to an antique
truck show on Sunday, Sept. 17 at the St. Lawrence-Franklin D.
Roosevelt Power Project’s admission-free Hawkins Point Visitors
Center. The trucks will be on display from noon to 4 p.m., with
ample parking available for visitors.
Truck owners will be available to answer questions and provide
information abut their vehicles. The first 50 trucks at the event
will receive dashboard plaques.
The visitors center, featuring a wide range of
interactive exhibits on subjects such as Water Power and the St.
Lawrence-FDR Project, Basics of Electricity and Uses of Electricity,
will be open on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors will also be
able to enjoy panoramic views of the power dam from Hawkins Point.
DIRECTIONS: From
Massena: Take State Route 37 east to Route 131 (across from
St. Lawrence Centre
Mall), turn left and proceed through the Eisenhower Lock tunnel.
Then take the second right onto Robinson Bay Road and continue for
two miles. Turn left onto Hawkins Point Road and follow the entrance
road to the visitors center.
