Solar Power Array Provides Electricity for Monroe-Woodbury High School

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York Power Authority President and Chief Executive Officer Eugene W. Zeltmann and state Sen. Bill Larkin join Monroe-Woodbury Superintendent of Schools John Canzoneri Tuesday to announce the completion of a 6-kilowatt photovoltaic ( PV) installation.
The PV unit mounted atop Monroe-Woodbury High School, will provide a continuous source of clean energy for the high school. A special connection to the school’s computer network will allow students to monitor the energy production. Immediately following remarks from Mr. Zeltmann and Sen. Larkin, a student will demonstrate the computer connection.
Sen. Larkin secured the state grant for NYPA to install the solar panels at Monroe-Woodbury H.S.
