FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LEWISTON—The New York Power Authority Thursday closed the public fishing facilities near the base of the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant until further notice.
Several recent incidents of falling rocks along the access road leading to the fishing facilities have led Power Authority officials to examine the rock wall adjacent to the road
Work is expected to begin shortly to help stabilize the surface of the wall. As safety precautions will have to be taken during this time, access to the road will be limited to essential personnel and vehicles.
