Iroquois Dam Gates Reopened

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MASSENA-The New York Power Authority announced Monday that the gates at Iroquois Dam near Waddington have been reopened to their normal operating positions, except for gate Number 3 on the U.S. side, due to decreased water levels on Lake St. Lawrence. Gate Number 3 will remain closed for maintenance for the foreseeable future. The order to reopen the gates was issued by the International St. Lawrence River Board of Control to the New York Power Authority and Ontario Power Generation, joint owners of the dam.
