Power Project Draft License Application Available at Libraries in Area Communities

MASSENAThe New York Power Authority's draft application for a 50-year license to operate the St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project here will be available for public inspection beginning Jan. 10, 2001.
The draft application will be provided to regulatory agencies, the Mohawk Community at Akwesasne, state and local government agencies, and active organizations and individuals of the Cooperative Consultation Process (CCP).
The draft application will also be available to the public beginning Wednesday, Jan. 10, at four area libraries. They are the Warren Memorial Library in Massena, the Waddington Hepburn Library in Waddington, the Lisbon Hepburn Library in Lisbon and the Akwesasne Cultural Center in Hogansburg.
The Draft Preliminary Draft Environmental Impact Statement, being prepared by Environmental Resources Management in consultation with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, will be distributed in a similar fashion.
