With NYPA-Supported Charging Stations, Electric Vehicles Can Go the Distance
In support of NYPA's Electric Transportation Program, the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Mandate, and the Charge NY initiative NYPA has overseen the development and installation of electric vehicle charging stations throughout New York State. The Charge NY program's goal is to install 3,000 personal electric vehicle charging stations by 2018. Since the program’s inception, Charge NY has supported the installation of more than a hundred charging stations, revised regulations to simplify charging station ownership, and sponsored technology research. NYSERDA, NYPA, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation are collaborating on Charge NY.
