NYPA Clean Commute TM Program

Photo of TH!NK city electric vehicle at White Plains station.In 2001, we launched the NYPA/TH!NK Clean Commute Program, making a fleet of close to 100 TH!NK city electric cars from the Ford Motor Company available for leasing to MTA commuters at seven New York City metropolitan area railroad stations for periods ranging from 24-30 months. The last of these leases expired in early 2005.  Based on the enthusiastic feedback from participants, we hope to build on this successful demonstration program as soon as a suitable new electric vehicle comes on the market.
